The Jaguar Mk IX was a four-door luxury saloon announced on that 8th of October 1958 and produced by Jaguar Cars between 1958 and 1961. It was generally similar to the MkVIII it replaced, but had a larger and more powerful 3.8 litre engine, 4-wheel, servo assisted, disc brakes and power assisted steering. It also sported a new, one piece, windscreen. This really attractive 1960 example has benefited from considerable expense in very recent times, while part of a very large collection. Unfortunately the last registered keeper has sadly passed away with this project incomplete. The car is offered complete with detailed invoices for works in early 2025 amounting to £4,000+ , which included an overhaul of the carburettors and fuel delivery system. But the car has also benefited from a complete repaint, re-chroming of external brightwork, new headlining, new rear quarter light seals, new Furflex door seals, new fuel sender units and much more. The car presents very well with beautiful, original interior, excellent paint and brightwork, owners manual and invoices as described, plus others for more recent works to ensure the car was offered as a running example. It is also evident that the car has been previously maintained by renowned Jaguar specialist Forward Engineering. This beautiful example is offered as an unfinished restoration, having already benefited from quite considerable expenditure. The car drives and stops but will require some finishing touches The registration number is transferable.
