Finished in gleaming white with contrasting black leather interior, this original UK example has been with its previous owner for 16 years. A well maintained example, in regular use, sounding and driving very well with an excellent soundtrack from the Bell stainless steel exhaust system. First registered in October 1969 this UK market E-Type Series 2 2+2, has had a limited number of former keepers and has been in the prior ownership for 16 years . She comes complete with a good file of history, extending back to the early 1990's, which is when the car was restored by a previous owner, the engine also being rebuilt at that time. In 2007 this Old English white E-type Jaguar went through the hands of a Jaguar specialist, treating it to a major service and cosmetic spruce-up, which cost £12,250. They also fitted a Bell stainless steel exhaust system in 2008. Ivydene continued to look after the car for the next dozen years, with plenty of invoices for regular upkeep and servicing. Since 2020 the car has been looked after by AWJ Automotive of Newcastle-under-Lyme, there are bills on file for this period amounting to some £5,300. Apart from regular service items, this also included a suspension overhaul with various new bushes and Koni front shock absorbers; new track rod ends; new engine and steering rack mountings; all new coolant hoses, carbs stripped, ultrasonically cleaned and rebuilt plus gearbox oil etc. The motor car has had a major service within the last 300 miles and all the tyres have around 6.5mm of tread. Old MOTs show that the car has covered around 4,600 miles in the prior 16-year ownership. A very nice usable example that is both solid and reliable .Starting promptly and running sweetly as we have moved it around on site, with good 40psi oil pressure, it is ready for a new owner to enjoy right away. .
