1998 (J) AC Cobra BEAUTIFULLY BUILT BY HAWK

Finished in metallic California sage green complimented with contrasting well appointed hide interior. Very well presented. The Hawk 289 is one of a range of kit car replicas produced by Hawk Cars with the 289 evoking the AC Cobra. Featuring a fibre glass body, the underpinnings of the car are mainly MG B with some Jaguar components plus, in this case, a Rover 3.5 litre V8 engine providing the propulsion. This California Sage Green (an Aston Martin shade) example which is in very good condition throughout and is one of the more convincing and high quality replicas was registered in June 1998 and has had just two registered keepers from new. The MOT is valid until November 2023 and the odometer shows 741 miles. The history folder that accompanies the car includes the V5C, some club magazines from the The 289 Register Club, and some brochures. There are some invoices with a few dating right back to the original build in the 1990s. One, from Total Head turners in November 2022, details quite an extensive amount of work including a service, repaint, new leather seats, new tyres and a new Holley carburettor and Edelbrock inlet manifold and gaskets. There is also some spare keys, some touch up paint and battery charging leads. The MOT certificates date from 2019 and 2022 plus 1998 (when the indicated mileage was just seven miles)
